2019: A Fresh Start

Happy New Year, Bloomers!

Just wanted to start off by thanking you all for supporting me ever since I started writing in early 2018. It was definitely a challenge for me to gain enough confidence to start my own blog and jump into this world. So thank you and I hope each and everyone of you had an amazing year.

Before the year ended, I cleaned my entire house. Yup, literally every dust bunny on my shelf was wiped clean. Growing up in an Asian household, every year before we brought in the new year my family would just spend 2-3 days just cleaning. In Japanese culture – we believe that tidying up and cleaning your house before the new year begins will flush out any bad and/or negative energy that has came into the house during the year. By cleaning it will also bring a fresh start and positive energy for the next year. The apartment I am living in now was my first home to be able to do this ever since I started living on my own! So, I had my boyfriend and roommate help me out. (They did not enjoy it though!)

But the most important thing I did before I brought in the new year was to write out my goals/resolutions. Since 2018, I started to truly believe the universe is real and manifesting your thoughts, dreams, and emotions actually help. So to start 2019 – specifically writing each goal was a big thing for me. Basically giving yourself a restart to actually have a productive and positive 12 months! I wrote it in 8 different categories:

1. HEALTH

2. CLEANLINESS

3. FINANCIAL

4. KNOWLEDGE

5. HUSTLER

6. LOVE

7. SELF CARE

8. CONFIDENCE

Honestly it took up 2 whole pages so i’m not sure if I can list every goal I wrote – but I hope the categories gave you an idea! I’m hoping that this year I will be able to reach out to more of you and look back on these goals/resolutions and cross each one off as accomplished.

Have you guys written down your goals for this year? If not – It’s not too late yet! It’s only been 8 days since the year started anyways. Please use my categories as an example if you’re stuck with where to start. It took me about an hour to fully think about what I want to specifically accomplish this year. You never have to rush, it’s your goals – you have full control.

Thank you for reading, May this year bring all of you bloomers love and happiness.

X
