DAY OFF ESSENTIALS

Hey everyone!

Hope you guys are having a great Friday so far. I know I am since I have no work today! Today I wanted to talk about what my day off usually consists of. Which honestly I mostly focus on skin care. If you read my last post – I have a pretty bad skin problem so I try to use my free time to take extra care of it when I don’t need to wear makeup. So i’m gonna show you guys my day off essentials + skin care products I use! But first – breakfast.

When I used to live in Hawaii, I worked in Waikiki near this really good bento/musubi shop and they had this one musubi with avocado, bacon and egg wrapped around rice with seaweed. It sounds and looks kind of funky right? Well i’m not the type of person to judge by its looks so I gave it a try and it was super delicious. So now, I eat all 3 for breakfast all the time but swap the rice with an english muffin or a bagel. You guys should give it a try!

Face mask: Fresh , Toner: Thayers , Cleanser: Glossier , Body lotion: Bath and Body Works

Just a few days ago I started using Glossier’s milk jelly cleanser and so far I really like it! I have super sensitive + combination skin so it’s always been hard to find the right product for me. I literally have 5 different cleansers under my bathroom cabinet because it just made my skin worse. Maybe I need a little more patience but hopefully this one won’t disappoint me.

The witch hazel from Thayers makes my skin feel so fresh and keeps it pretty hydrated than other toners i’ve used. It smells amazing too! Rose water will never let you down.

My friend bought me a small version of the Fresh Beauty youth preserve facial mask and I LOVE it! Every time I work consecutive days and i’m feeling super groggy, I use this to wake my skin up and I’m honestly glowing afterwards. I use this thrice a week.

After taking care of my face, I make sure I take care of my body too! I moisturize twice a day with the Bath and Body Works stress relief body lotion. This one’s actually the only lotion I actually buy for my body because it smells so damn good! It relaxes me with the aroma and i’m in smooth-skin-heaven. I love eucalyptus!

Lip balm: Glossier , Lip gloss: Glossier , Pouch: Prada , Hand creme: Gourmand

After eating good and feeling good, I bring out Vivienne Westwood’s biography and read for a few hours. I recently got my hands on this book and I can’t seem to put it down! I’m kind of a slow reader since I don’t have too much free time when i’m working or taking care of my dog, so I look forward to reading on my days off. If you like Vivienne Westwood and want to learn more about her and the brand – I highly suggest you to read this book. You’ll feel more educated about the 70’s fashion scene and you’ll respect her as a designer even more.

The rest of the day is full of rolling around in bed with my dog, a hour at the gym, and eating snacks and using up my candle fluid for having it on all day. I love to have a relaxing day at home when i’m usually working for most of the week.

Hope you guys enjoyed my day off essentials! What’s your day off essentials?
