Tears of Earth (Happiness)

I have been *attempting* to focus my precious time on writing poetry and researching the art of books and the amount of strength words carry. I have been taking a step back to really dig as deep as I can and take a look into my emotions as I am finding a way to escape the stress and exhaustion of the human life. Please enjoy this poem I wrote regarding life and earth.

Do not disturb my waking dream

as the sky cried all night

I take a seat

wet soil spreads across

A layer of forest green

the tears of mother earth

brings more life

for another day.

Do not disturb my waking dream

I spy butterflies

kissing the pedals

taking a breather

enjoying the silence.

Do not disturb my waking dream

my back against

your beating heart

I feel the warmth —

you shine brighter

then what’s above.

Do not disturb my waking dream

I embrace the loneliness

the moon

my only friend.

it’s quiet here

it’s better here.
