Valentine’s Day

Hey Bloomers. I hope you all enjoyed your very first COVID-19 Valentine’s day. I wanted to talk about how I spent mine this year.

Since LA just re-opened outdoor dining, everyone seemed to book their Valentine’s day dinner as fast as they could. Us not knowing that was happening; ended up not able to get a single reservation at any of the restaurants we had in mind. We actually had our dinner the next day, at Bourbon Steak in Glendale.

I give this restaurant a 10/10. The outdoor seating is closed off from the road so I felt more comfortable. They over exceeded my expectations from the drinks to the dessert, as well as their service. My favorite dish was the fresh oysters, and the dessert was amazing. It was a peanut butter fudge brownie with espresso gelato; I licked the plate clean!

The drinks were delicious. We had a vodka and orange-based drink as our first; it tasted a bit weak but the flavor was very fruity. Our second drink was a Japanese Suntory whiskey-based cocktail; which tasted much stronger. The presentation of the drink was very artsy; it had a large circular ice cube sitting in the drink, which made the cocktail look fancy.

My look was based around the new derby shoes I received as a gift from my boyfriend. These Louis Vuitton derby shoes are the cutest! They are surprisingly very comfortable too; not as heavy as they look. I wore a Dries Van Noten turtle neck, with a Comme Des Garcons wool jacket, classic wool Prada trousers, and my Louis Vuitton purse to match with the shoes.

Even though we could not do as much as we wanted to because of the many restrictions, we made it a fun Valentine’s day regardless. He made me feel special, and spending it with him was all that matters.

Thank you for reading y’all 🙂
