Emptyness

My mind tends to wander to an empty world, full of loneliness and discomfort. I’ve tried many ways to avoid going into that negative part of my emotions, but I came to a realization that you can’t. So, what can we do to prevent, or should I say lessen, the times we wind up into that world?

To be honest, I’ve been to therapy, spent weeks at a hospital trying to pull my mind out of that dark world and I still tend to wander. So the answer is still unclear.

Everyone has a dark past they can’t seem to escape. the only thing we can do for ourselves is face it and live with it on a positive note. but the question always ends up being “how could we live with it on a positive note at all times?” Truth is, you can’t. well, not at all times but you can definitely be in your happy world more than that dark place; only if you put your mind into it.

Putting your mind into it means actually earning that happy place. which means no matter how many times you feel like you want to give up — you can’t. You just can’t. Because then you are losing yourself to that sad, empty world and you will never be able to escape it once you are fully sucked in.

Be yourself at all times. Don’t change for anybody. Don’t hesitate or overthink what you want to say to your crush, friends, family.. just do it. My problem always has been overthinking —Thinking of the worst possible outcome before I even do anything. Which brings me to my dark place; I get scared and end up not taking any risks. Risks are what makes life fun! If you want to ask your crush an out of pocket question, do that! If you feel the need to stand your ground towards an uncomfortable situation, say whatever is on your mind. Do not be scared — the worst thing that could happen is that they can’t handle you. They are doing you a favor by showing you they aren’t the right person. It’s okay to cut family or friends off that doesn’t give you the right energy you are seeking.

Heal. Heal from your own traumas, past relationships, pain from your childhood.. whatever it is take time to heal. Only time will tell. If you do not heal from your past, how are you going to continue the journey of happiness? Heal. Take time for yourself, and only yourself.

Push through no matter what. every obstacle is a learning lesson, so take it in as that — good or bad. I always tell myself and others that everything happens for a reason, so whatever happens I take it in as a lesson! Sometimes of course I get sad or upset, but at the end of the day I know the universe did that for a good reason.
