I recently got into watching Sex and the city. Yes, I am extremely late and I am very upset at myself for that very own reason. It is such a fun, fashionable, and relatable show that I’ve been missing out on for a while. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her friends have the best wardrobe I have ever seen on TV. Of course, if you are living in NYC it’s a must. It is very interesting how all of her outfits/clothing is making a comeback (Y2K fashion as they call it nowadays). But we all know fashion trends work as a cycle, so we really can’t get rid of our clothing since we never know when it’s going to come back.
Here are my favorite outfits from Carrie Bradshaw in the show Sex And The City
Christian Dior – Newspaper Dress
This was such a great moment to see this dress during season 3. The newspaper dress first appeared on the Dior runway during the fall 2000 collection. John Galliano’s “Christian Dior Daily” print has been making a huge comeback lately – to the point where fast women clothing brands are even copying the dress/print. Carrie wore this with her gold name-plate necklace which is a very simple yet elegant way to style this dress since it is such a statement piece.
Vivienne Westwood Rose Dress
Carrie wearing the iconic/classic assymetrical corseted rose dress from the spring/summer 2007 collection was a great moment for the Westwood fans. She paired it with her favorite shoe brand in the show; Manolo Blahnik. Her feather clutch is Salvatore Ferragamo.
Jean Paul Gaultier
Carrie’s summer-in-NYC looks were always on point. Especially this Jean Paul Gaultier Vintage Couture OBI wrap dress. She layered her necklaces and made it such a casual, yet eye catching look.
Simple Body Dress
In the beginning of the show, Carrie had a lot of looks with just a simple tight dress. But she still made it look fashion, with a killer body and statement accessories (we all know her obsession with shoes). One of her most iconic looks.
There are way more iconic outfits throughout the show but it would be too long of a blog post so i’m just going to leave it as a summarized list of my favorites.
