Hi Everyone!
When I was a little girl, my mother would buy many different kinds of hair accessories from Japan – cute glitter rubber bands, colorful barrettes, scrunchies, and more. After my trip to Japan in February, the little girl in me is starting to make a come back. I was on the hunt for hair accessories and I was able to find a few! I’ve been seeing the hair accessory trend making a come back – and i’m not mad at all. I’ve been getting really bored of my hair and having accessories for it is making me want to keep my hair long and always looking cute. No more messy hair days for me!
Here are some of the hair accessories I found in Japan:
I’m a sucker for animated characters and i’ve been obsessed with Gudetama for the past 2-3 years now! So when I found their hair clips at the Sanrio store in Harajuku – it was an immediate buy.
Walking through Takeshita street in Harajuku was a great idea – especially since there are so many jewelry/accessory stores! I found a store that had these big hair clips in a few different colors. Also the assortment of pastel mini clamped pins were a great buy. Whenever i’m not in the mood to deal with hair in my face – they will show up. I wish I remembered the name of the store! But walk through Takeshita street and you will definitely find it. 🙂
Since I’ve been pushing back cutting my hair for months – it’s back to being long. I went to the Bathing Ape store in Shibuya and found the cutest Baby Milo hair tie. Honestly, I don’t find Bape that great ever since Nigo sold it. I believe it’s very hype and too worn out. But, the Baby Milo collection is to die for! Like I said, I’m a sucker for animated cute characters. So this hair tie caught my eye immediately! Next time i’ll wear my pony tail higher so you guys can see it more!
I can’t wait to find more cute hair accessories and have fun with my hair! I definitely want to go to some swap meets out here in LA and find some affordable and adorable things for my hair.
