During this cold, windy, and rainy season in LA (It surprisingly has been raining these past few days) it’s very important to take care of your skin because of how dry it gets.
I recently discovered this Korean skincare brand called Dr. Jart+ . Their packaging is so cute – which is what mainly caught my attention. I can’t seem to look away from cute things! Although they have so many different masks and skin care products, I was really drawn to their “rubber face masks” – I’ve seen it from my favorite bloggers and through my instagram explore page. I immediately looked up their reviews on Sephora (can’t trust the hype just yet – especially when it comes to your skin). It seemed like people with sensitive and combination skin really loved it so it was worth the try. I purchased the light blue “hydrating lover” and the gray “clear skin lover” face mask.
CLEAR SKIN LOVER MASK
I decided to try the gray mask first since I recently have been dealing with a few pimples on my face. There’s basically three steps:
Step 1: AMPOULE PACK
- This felt a little odd for me because I never tried a mask where I put a cream on before the actual mask – but hey, trying new things can’t go too wrong right? Long story short: it felt amazing. It’s a jelly-like cream where you gently rub all over your face. It was so refreshing and has a cooling effect! Just remember not to use all of it during this step – you’re going to still need this later. But definitely a great first impression.
Step 2: RUBBER MASK
Step 3: MORE AMPOULE PACK
I’m super excited to try the hydrating lover mask next week – which probably will give me the same cooling effect and will definitely help my dry skin during this season. Remember: Always moisturize and even if it’s winter time do not forget your sunscreen! (Especially in California and Hawaii).
