LA 'FALL' LOOKS 2018

Hi everyone 🙂

I seem to always tell you guys a lame excuse to why i’ve been slacking on keeping up with my blog and i’m starting to annoy myself! So i’m not going to do that this time. But I just want to say that it’s been real hard coming up with topics to write when i’ve been working so much! I have to balance work with my blog and everything else I deal with – i’m just typing this to remind myself so please bare with me.

I’ve been working a lot so I haven’t had the time to go and get content for my blog. But I do have my top outfits that I did photograph with my phone. Today I wanted to show you guys my September/October looks. It’s fall season but Los Angeles is still hot and bipolar with its weather. It’s sort of frustrating to be quite honest! As you know, I’m from Hawai’i so I prefer the cold. Growing up on the islands with only 1 humid season was enough ‘summer time’ for me. But then again you would wonder why I moved to LA where the sun is always shining.. hah! Don’t ask me that question because I don’t even know how to answer it. But LA does get colder than Hawai’i so thats good enough for me! Tonight it is raining and I love it. But during the time that these looks were photographed it was still 80 degree LA. But with all the rain and thunder happening outside right now it seems like fall is finally coming for us!..Hope I didn’t jinx it by saying that.

Top: Christian Dior by John Galliano, Bottom: Vintage, Shoes: Louis Vuitton, Belt: Y-3, Bag: Nananana

I went to dinner with my friends at a fancy sushi restaurant this night and I thought it would be a great way to wear my new shoes for the first time! These Louis Vuitton heels are by far my favorite right now. It’s a perfect statement piece and it is a great day-and-night boot. Christian Dior piece by John Galliano – so far my second item from his era. This long sleeve top is an ideal item to have in your closet. If you don’t want to carry a jacket or wear one because it’ll get too hot (especially in LA) then a long sleeve top will solve the issue. The shorts added a casual look to the outfit and adding in the Y-3 belt mixed streetwear with the luxurious look – which I love doing! You all know my Nananana trash box bag is my go-to. Don’t make me explain why – just click here if you don’t know.

Top: Comme Des Garcons by Junya Watanabe, Bottoms: Vintage, Shoes: Alexander McQueen, Bag: Nananana

I strolled through Santa Monica with my boyfriend and best friend this day. It was a hot day and the weather was great. I finally got my hands on this Junya Watanabe Comme Des Garcons poem shirt and I wish I could wear it all the time because I can barely contain my excitement for it. If you guys don’t know – this collection is very popular and rare to find. If you do find it it’s probably really expensive. Junya Watanabe started to make clothing with Comme Des Garcons in 1993 and came out with this collection in 2001 starting with Jeans made by Levi’s. It came in various poems but this poem was one of my favorites:

“Waiting on your ring

Sitting on the stairs

This is my precious time

Waiting for your ring

Everyone is

Still asleep

This is our secret

I am so happy to

Live this brand

New Day

Oh Darling

You’re in my heart”

The gray trousers go with the summer weather to lighten up the look and blend with the white color story going on. My McQueen’s and A5 Nananana cross-body bag are both my summer favorites.

Top, Bottom, Shoes, and Tights: Vivienne Westwood, Bag: Nananana

The weather forecast said it was supposed to rain and thunder all day so I decided to dress warm. It ended up being humid and gross but the look was still cute so I photographed it! I’m sure while reading this post you’ve been thinking “Is Lilia going to be wearing Vivienne Westwood in one of these looks?” The real question is “When is Lilia not wearing Vivienne Westwood? Well the wait is over! I felt like a Japanese girl going to school in this fit. Someone also told me I look like a Jewish girl as well, but both are cute so I guess it works! I added holes and safety pins to the tights because my dog accidentally ripped a hole in them. So why not mess it up even more and wear it as a punk-look instead of throwing it away, right? I thought the tights would add more of a casual look since i’m wearing a button up and a long skirt (looked too business-like). The rain-boots were for the so-called rain that was supposed to happen that day – worked with the outfit though!

So, those were my 3 looks for the Los Angeles fall season so far. My iPhone photo’s weren’t so bad, right? I hope the temperature keeps dropping because i’m reading for some REAL fall looks – i’m sure you’re ready to see them too.

Which one was your favorite look?
