LOUIS VUITTON TIME CAPSULE EXHIBITION

Louis Vuitton is probably one of my top 10 favorite brands. My mother actually worked with the company for 15 years – so basically I grew up around it and my mother would always say “Louis Vuitton is the only brand that ever matters, nothing else”! I remember she would get upset at me when I told her I thought Chanel was better, haha! But whenever I hear Louis Vuitton – I think of my mother. Maybe thats one of the reasons why I cherish the brand so much. But another reason is because how they have been around for YEARS. 1854 is when Louis Vuitton started his brand – and now it’s one of the most biggest brand to exist.

I was so happy to hear that there was a Louis Vuitton time capsule exhibition happening in the Westfield Century City mall. I saw on instagram that New York was doing one a few months ago and was wishing they’d do one in LA. My wish came true! So today my boyfriend and I finally got the chance to go check it out.

It was a lot smaller then I’d imagine – but still cool since it was free admission. Can’t complain if it’s free! In the entrance, they had a lady that was sewing up a Louis Vuitton bag handle – live! It was very cool to see the process and their techniques.

The inside showcased a timeline of their classic and signature products. From the famous trunk luggages made in the 1900’s, to the creations of Marc Jacobs collaborating with Takashi Murakami in the 2000’s.

My favorite products I saw were the make up carrier and the record player holder. I was amazed but not shocked since Louis Vuitton has basically created everything you could think of off the top of your head. The make up carrier was made in the 2000’s, and the record player holder was 2016-2017 by Kim Jones.

#OOTD

Today I didn’t really have a key product to plan my outift around – I just knew I wanted to wear my Louis Vuitton sneakers. Gotta wear one LV piece if i’m going to their exhibition, right? Well my Fendi monogram tee definitely matched with the color of my shoes (gold, brown, and white) – and my khaki Uniqlo wide leg pants did as well. Its a lot easier to plan an outfit if you have pieces that match the color of your shoes. I chose one of my favorite everyday bags from Nananana. They are an upcoming Japanese brand that makes really cute stuff! Y’all should definitely check them out.

Here is my whole look put together:
