What’s up y’all –
I know i’m a day late.. and it’s past midnight that i’m writing this.. I’ll get down a posting schedule soon – I promise!
The exciting Met Gala happened yesterday! The theme chosen this year was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.
If you guys don’t know what the Met Gala is, long story short – it’s a charity event for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute in NYC. Vogue is the one that hosts the event. They choose the theme of the night – which celebrities who are invited get to dress up and are expected to wear clothing that fits the theme. The Met Gala, formally known as the Costume Institute Gala, has been going on annually since 1971.
In todays post, i’m going to break down my personal favorite looks from this year and best looks from the past.
2018
To be quite honest… I wasn’t that impressed with many of the looks this year. Lots of the guests did not fit the theme and so many looked so similar! Too. many. head. pieces. Too many basic gowns! I wanted to see more dramatic, gold, and angelic looks. Not a flower crown and a gown. (Hailey Baldwin’s look was THE absolute worst)
Here are my personal best looks (random order):
- Stella Maxwell in Moschino.
