COACHELLA 2018

Hello my awesome readers!

This weekend was so crazy for me. I got to go to week 2 of Coachella – for free! It was super spontaneous but I’m so glad we went and experienced what the hype was about.

Since this was all planned last minute – we didn’t have a place to stay. All the airbnb’s were booked and the hotels decided to charge $500 a night for crappy rooms.. which obviously we didn’t want to do. So we decided to rent a car and make that our home for the weekend! It was definitely difficult and we barely slept, but now I look back and I’m glad we got to do something crazy like this together. Definitely one for the books. 🙂

DAY 1

It took us 5 hours to get to Indio, California from LA on Friday – and usually it takes 2-3 hours so we left at the wrong time. We got into Coachella around 8pm, and I got to start off the night with Kygo bringing Ariana Grande on stage! Kygo also ended his set by playing Avicii’s hit song “Without you”. RIP to the legend.

#OOTD (DAY 1)

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a nice looking picture of my outfit for Day 1 since we got there super late, but I wore something superr cute! My Rick Owens 2010 piece that I absolutely adore, black disco shorts from American Apparel, and my doc martens. For my bag, I wore a vintage Chanel fanny pack I got from Pechuga Vintage which I wore all 3 days. You could never go wrong with a Chanel bag!

DAY 2

Day 2 was the most important day for us since the queen was performing! We started the day off by exploring the desert. We went to the Coachella Valley Preserve which is a nice sightseeing/hiking spot. To be honest we realized hiking was kind of a bad idea because it was 100 degrees that day, but it was still cool to see some life in the desert.

#OOTD (DAY 2)

My outfit for day 2 was probably my favorite and perfect for the hot weather. I wore a Louis Vuitton multi-color monogram print one piece swimsuit, high waisted light wash denim shorts from Hollister (i’ve had these shorts since freshman year of high school lol), and a 3 layered necklace. The necklace helped add more spice to the outfit since my chest area was so open.

DAY 3

We were pretty darn exhausted when the 3rd day hit. We honestly were so tired we were ready to go home! So we decided to make our day as relaxing as possible. This day was the absolute hottest day throughout the weekend. I think it hit 106 degrees! We found a community pool in Palm Desert, and honestly it felt so amazing. We got to lounge in the sun and cool down in the pool. Definitely was a great idea before our last night at Coachella!

#OOTD (DAY 3)

I chose to be comfortable for the final day. But don’t worry, my comfortable outfit was of course still fire. 😉

I wore the J’adore Dior graphic top from Pechuga Vintage, and vintage black denim wash high waisted shorts. Very simple, but to add more impact I accessorized myself with Vivienne Westwood logo earrings, the 3 layer necklace (unfortunately I only brought one piece of neck jewelry), and the Chanel bag helped separate the blended colors of the top and shorts as a belt. Since I made a mistake not bringing a jacket the night before (I was FREEZING!) – I wrapped my vintage looking flannel from Urban Renewal around my waist. The flannel helped the fit be less dull because of the color pop.

Again, Coachella was definitely one for the books. But in my opinion – paying $400 for a ticket isn’t worth it. Maybe because i’m just starting to get super tired of multi-day events, but I honestly expected Coachella to be a lot more different than other multi-day events. I’ve been to Camp Flog Gnaw and EDC in the past – but organization wise they all are the same. The only thing cool about Coachella was that the artists bring lots of special guests on stage and that makes it very exciting for the audience because we don’t know who they will bring out! Also, theres a lot of celebrities usually walking around but mostly during week 1. So in conclusion, I say you should definitely experience Coachella once in your life. For me, this will probably be my first and last Coachella, haha. But i’m glad to be able to say I’ve gone.

Oh! I also took lots of film pictures throughout the weekend, so once that develops its over for y’all! Can’t wait to show you. Stay tuned 🙂

Thanks for reading, bloomers.

xoxo
