It’s been awhile, hasn’t it?

I want to start off by apologizing about that. To be quite honest, I’ve been in a slump because of my personal issues and its been hard for me to write.

But i’m baaack! Hooray! Now let’s get back into what I’m going to talk about today.

There are so many trending brands at the moment. SO MANY. Sometimes, don’t you wish someone could just.. I don’t know.. put them into a summarized list to help you figure out where you should start looking? Well THAT is why I am here today. 🙂

Now, this isn’t a hypebeast list that I am talking about – this is a mixture of luxury/streetwear brands I recently discovered and want to tell you guys why they caught my eye, and I know it’ll make you want to know more about them.

Y/PROJECT

Y/PROJECT is a Parisian brand led by Glenn Martens, a Belgian graduate from the Royal Academy of Antwerp, who took over the roll as the Creative Directior in 2013.

What caught my eye with this brand is the detailing of the clothing. The first piece I’ve seen was a pair of jeans with rolled up parts of the jeans stacking up one another! The creativeness of the brand is absolutely astonishing. To me, its something I have never seen before and I love finding unique brands that make you have to look twice. Its different and makes fashion fun.

What makes the brand great is that it is mostly unisex – blending in both masculinity and femininity in crazy abstract designs. Y/PROJECT has been growing all around the world as a luxury brand and has their products in many different stocklists such as Browns, Barney’s, Ssense, and over 150 more. They are BOOMING! I definitely recommend you to check them out.

MISBHV

Misbhv is a polish brand found by their designer Natalia Maczek in 2013. She started off the brand as a typical side project and made a small line of T-shirts for her friends to wear at the club. Fast forward to today – The brand has become one of the most watched street wear brands for the younger generation for both men and women. With a combination of street and nostalgia, Misbhv still adds that touch of fresh and new which is what makes them greater than other famous street style brands. Many top runway models like Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid, and fashion influencer Sita Bellan has been wearing Misbhv for some time now. If you were wondering where you might have heard this brand from – it’s probably from them!

Their pricing point is on the higher side – but for the material used on the product and fine detailing makes it worth the money. They have simple graphic tees, puffer jacket and matching skirt made with velvet, straight leg pants with their logo stitched into the side of the pants. Most of their products are simple yet definitely a statement piece because of the different types of material they use on each product. I personally love their boot heels, knitted tops, outerwear.. who am I kidding I love all their stuff!

ALYX STUDIO

Matthew Williams, designer and founder of Alyx Studio is one of a kind. He has gained all sorts of knowledge from working in music, art, and fashion for years that he was able  to create his own style and aesthetic in luxury/street wear fashion.

Alyx studio known for their garment construction and to create art through their products. Each piece tells us the story behind the making of the product, and to me that is something not all designers are able to do. Most of the products are very simple – black and white yet because of the detailing of the garment construction, it brings lots of attention to the person that it wearing it.

Many celebrities and young rap artists have been wearing Alyx and is the reason why everyone is going crazy over them. Their most famous products are their belt – which is reconstructed to look like a seat belt you strap on yourself in the car or when you go on a roller coaster.

Another popular product from them worn by many iconic celebrities is the Chest Rig bag. It is sort of like a big fanny pack that is worn around your chest, which can resemble something like a bullet proof vest in my eyes. It is honestly something I have never seen before. Simple yet extremely eye catching.

Those were my top 3 fashion brands that you should definitely keep looking out for – because in the next few years they will become something big and I’m super excited for it.
